Golf courses in some Australian states have been allowed to stay open to offer locals a valuable workout option during lockdown, as long as clubs and players follow new hygiene rules. Best golf courses in Perth & Western Australia

Perth isn't the first place that comes to mind when most people think about golf in Australia, but it's the gateway to some of the nation's best courses. October to May are the peak months for Western Australia golf holidays, but mild winters and summer mornings also make for ideal year-round conditions.

Meadow Springs Golf & Country Club

The sister course of Joondalup Resort, Meadow Springs near Mandurah offers the same wild golfing experience through open bushland. 50 minutes south of Perth, the course is renowned for its playability for golfers of all levels.

All serious golf fans need to visit Tasmania, home to some of the best links layouts in the world as well as the Australasian Golf Course Museum in Bothwell village. Barnbougle Dunes
